Calling for Entries - Cathay Pacific Travel Media Awards 2010

Travcom is proud to present the annual Cathay Pacific Travel Media Awards, in March 2010, offering New Zealand writers and photographers the chance to have their talents recognised and applauded. And they will win superb prizes.

The supreme winners of the Cathay Pacific Travel Writer of the Year Award and Cathay Pacific Travel Photographer of the Year Award will each receive two return economy class tickets to Johannesburg travelling with Cathay Pacific with $500 towards travel expenses; plus Adventure World’s seven day land package staying at a private game lodge in the Kruger and Drakensburg region.

We are grateful to all our sponsors for their support and the wonderful prizes they provide. Without our sponsors these awards couldn't happen, so please support them where you can.

    Travel Book of the Year

    Writers of travel books are not forgotten. Whitcoulls Travcom Travel Book of the Year Award is presented for the best original book of creative travel writing about any country, including New Zealand.

    Whitcoulls will award the winner $2000 cash and $500 in book vouchers. The runner-up will receive $500 in book vouchers. For more information about the Whitcoulls Travel Book Award click here.

     

    Entry deadline is Friday, 5 February 2010 for writing and photography awards

     
    Prizes will be awarded at the Gala Dinner on Tuesday the 23 March 2010 at the Heritage Auckland Grand Tearoom. It's great fun and an excellent chance to catch up with friends and enjoy the camaraderie.
