Awards 2012 - NZ Maori Tourism
NZ Maori Tourism Award for the Best Travel Image that captures the essence of Maori The winner of this inaugural award receives $2000 courtesy of NZ Maori Tourism.Winner Aaron Smale © for his image published in NZ Geographic magazine. The image depicts the temple gates at Ratana Pa. A brass band, always a regular feature at Ratana events, forms a guard of honour as church members enter the temple gates for a service. Generations of families visit Ratana Pa every year, many because a family member was touched by Ratana's ministry decades earlier.  |
